How can this really be happening?

why not, just a quick slap on the wrist?

Up at the stand, I have no justification

yet, you seem to have a weighty list.

I sense that I was just sucker-punched

with the absence of cautionary signs,

I would much rather be given a life sentence

then dealing with these outrageous fines.

I honestly think that I am missing that part

where most people grasp, all amatory feelings,

believe me, I would  fancy the notion to learn

I’d do whatever it takes to reach saintly healing.

Frequently you gravitate towards insinuating

that I do not care, or listen to your needs,

I suppose I am equal to a firethorn shrub

lost in a pasture of overgrown weeds.
