Trapped between the curtains and glass
you can feel remorse for this honey bee,
earlier he did nothing but glance and pass
at no time was there a sign he’d hurt thee.
Funny how something the size of an acorn
can bring a grown man to his knees,
it’s really nothing more than a flying thorn,
you could pinch it in a tissue with ease.
Sure, if you’re allergic it could kill you
but the same could also go for a peanut,
leave him alone if you don’t want him to,
maybe next time you’ll keep the damn door shut.
So don’t kill the lil’ guy who’s just buzzing by
and happened to admire your flowers,
all because you’re embarrassed by how,
you’ve been screaming and flailing for hours.

Haha yeah, not sure where that came from. If it makes me laugh I usually try to use it.

Even better than just leaving it alone would be to set this little creature free…
Nice poem.

I wrote this for a friend. My “honey lady” who has a local honey company. She has been feeling ill and I wanted to cheer her up.

How caring of you, especially to do it in such a poetic way. This MUST make her feel better!

Thanks you so much! I unfortunately have stopped doing awards. Only because I got busy and missed a couple different ones from people and now I feel it would be unfair. Like I was picking and choosing favorites. I hope u understand. Thank you so much again though ✌🏼🤓

It’s something I think of when there’s a bug in the house. So quick to just smash it… Like really? Why not give him another shot outside. When I was young I would image a giant foot coming down and smashing me in instant Justice for my bug crushing actions. Lol.

Yeah. Lol! Empaths can feel that way. But really the good thing is you wrote it in a way that now anybody who has read it is gonna probably think twice before squishing one. That’s the point! Bees all over the world owe you lots of thanks. 😉

Haha thanks. I have a local honey lady that always tells me the sad Bee stories and how the cost of Queen bees has gone up ten fold due to the shortage. Sad

O don’t get me started on that. Us stealing honey is what is leading a lot of bees to become malnourished!! Bees are now dying suddenly due to fatigue. Beekeepers just replace honey with corn syrup which is no good for them. Sad. Pretty soon.. No bees no food…
